(purified polydimethylsiloxane) is a highly
purified long chain polydimethylsiloxane trimethylsiloxy terminated
silicone oil. It is sterile, non-pyrogenic, clear, colorless and
has a viscosity of 1000 cs. for use as a postoperative retinal tamponade
